An energetic percussion experience exploring global rhythms and ensemble performance.
Rhythm Around the World is an immersive, week-long percussion ensemble camp designed for young musicians who want to experience rhythm in a hands-on, collaborative setting. Whether your student is new to percussion or already plays an instrument, this camp introduces global rhythms in a way that is interactive, exciting, and accessible.
Throughout the Week, Students Will:
- Explore rhythm traditions from different parts of the world
- Play a variety of percussive instruments including hand drums, shakers, body percussion, and found sounds
- Develop timing, coordination, and steady pulse
- Learn call-and-response patterns and layered ensemble parts
- Strengthen listening skills and group awareness
- Collaborate on a final performance featuring rhythms from multiple regions
Our Goal
To help students experience rhythm as a universal language while building strong musical foundations and ensemble confidence.
By the End of the Week
Each student will leave with:
- Improved timing and coordination
- Greater confidence performing in a group setting
- A deeper appreciation for global musical traditions
- High-energy, collaborative music-making designed for 10–13 year olds who are ready to explore the world through rhythm.

Runs much larger than I expected. I am 5’4”& 136 pounds. Usually wear a medium or large in some knit tops. So I need to stitch the side seams in hopes it will fit better. I like the weight and softness of the fabric, but really disappointed in the too large armholes. Unwearable for me until I
can sew new side seams.
